Thank you again for all the money you and your children have raised to help the schools in Ecuador. We managed to raise US$483 dollars which the schools are going to use to:
1. Finish the wall around the School of El Porvenir for the safety of the children.
2. Make some nice murals in the new wall.
3. Repair and paint the playground items. (School of El Porvenir)
4. Improve the lighting in their Computer Centre (School of El Porvenir)
The rest of the money will go to the schools in Quinchicoto and Yanayacu.

Over the term, the children in Reception will write to their pen friends in Ecuador. Also, we are looking forward to learning about the culture of Ecuador. Recently, the children in Rabbit Class have enjoyed writing to their friends. Please see the photographs below:

At this current time, we are all thinking of all of the communities located near the Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador, which has recently erupted. We have heard that ash has damaged many crops and animals in the area. They are also experiencing heavy rains and flooding, which has meant many people are currently without homes and essential crops. Thank you all your continued support.
